Quality Metal Carports Warranty
At Quality Metal Carports, we are committed to providing durable, cost-effective solutions for your structure needs. Below is a comprehensive outline of our warranty coverage, ensuring peace of mind for your investment.
Certified units are backed by a 5-year limited warranty per engineer plans, effective from the delivery date. Non-certified units include a 30-day limited warranty against manufacturing defects. Any modifications, including painting, adding or removing components, will void the warranty. Additionally, if the installation site is not level, the unit will be installed ‘as is,’ and the warranty will be voided. Failure to upgrade rebar anchors to mobile home, rock, or asphalt alternatives may void the warranty. For installations on concrete, customers must upgrade to a certified anchor system to receive welded L brackets.
We offer a 20-year Rust-Through Protection Warranty covering structural rust or corrosion on 12-gauge frames, assuming proper maintenance. This warranty does not cover 14-gauge frames, improper installation, misuse, or environmental damage. To ensure long-term strength and prevent deformation, our structures include reinforced bracing at key points, enhancing durability over time.
Our leak warranty protects against water infiltration for vertical roof style structures when equipped with a full foam enclosure, sealing ridge caps and eaves. Vertical-style buildings must have a full foam enclosure to qualify for leak protection. Horizontal-style buildings over 30 feet in length do not qualify due to potential leaks from overlapping panels in high wind or rain conditions. For fully enclosed buildings, we strongly recommend sealing both the eaves and ridge cap to minimize water penetration.
For additional stability, we offer an optional 90 MPH Wind Warranty. Our standard structures can be installed on level asphalt, gravel, or concrete surfaces with complimentary installation. However, for larger structures, customers must provide necessary lifting equipment such as telehandler forklifts or scissor lifts. We can offer recommendations to help ensure a smooth installation process.
Doors and windows come with a 30-day limited warranty against installation defects. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, modifications such as painting, handle changes, or lock replacements, or any user-related damage. If the customer fails to report a claim within 7 days after the main portion of the installation is completed, they lose the ability to file a warranty claim for doors and windows. Additionally, if the customer attempts to repair an issue before QMC inspects it, the warranty becomes void. Essentially, it ensures that any issues are formally reported and reviewed by QMC before any modifications or repairs take place.
All warranties are non-transferable and apply only to the original purchaser and installation address. Additionally, QMC does not cover leaks under the base rail, whether the unit is fully or partially enclosed. To help prevent leaks, customers can slope their concrete pad for better water drainage. If the concrete edge is poured flush with the base rails, the panels may overlap the edge slightly, but this can vary depending on the carport. To ensure added protection against water intrusion, customers can request additional flashing or a rat guard. However, it is important to note that these options are not standard inclusions in our installations.
